Un-refined clay sculptures with inspiration from Norse mythology and neolithic british rock carvings.

Bones from the Thames, Clay from Selbourne, UK. Looking at the links between animals and humans, talismans and totems.

Moss, bones, reeds and clay.

Made with clay from a beach in sussex and bones from the shore of the river Thames.
Engaging with with eco-local artwork over the past few months has led me to working with unrefined, hand sourced clays and natural materials as well as found animal remains and plants to create these talismanic, almost totemic sculptures. Looking into ritual and getting more hands on folk art has been an empowering process when it comes to working closely with nature, especially around areas in which I engage with a lot : London and Surrey where I was born and grew up all played a big part in these pieces as well as incorporating themes of the neolithic and viking roots.
